Mersenne's Void

Dark holds. The screen is nearly black — a field of void lit only by faint wisps of color that drift at the edge of visibility. Tonight is a new moon: the sky offers nothing, only stars and the suggestion of depth. This is day 254 of the year, which factors as 2 × 127. That 127 is a Mersenne prime — the number 2^7 minus one, forever reaching toward a perfect power of two and never arriving. The visualization translates this into form: structures emerge from the dark, build toward fullness, then dissolve before they double. The reaching is the piece. Your Nostr identity seeds every parameter — the specific hues haunting the darkness, the exact drift of the warp, the particular way light surfaces and retreats. Another viewer's void has different geometry, different ghost colors. Yours is shaped by you. Watch long enough and something stirs.
